Mazda continues making its way to the top of the reputation and reliability rankings. These rankings are based on consumer reviews and reports from dealerships nationwide.
“Based on 13 million consumer-submitted reviews on Cars.com, we’re able to provide data-driven insights – across brand, dealership groups, and down to the individual dealer level – about strengths and gaps in retail experience”. One of the brands that stood out and earned one of the highest overall ratings from consumers on Cars.com over 24 months was (drumroll) Mazda!
The report analyzes six categories that contribute to the brand's overall rating.
1. Price transparency
A Cars.com consumer survey in May revealed that affordability and price influence 53% of car shoppers. The more transparent dealerships are with the price, the better the outcome.
2. Trade-in experience
An August survey on Cars.com found that 50% of car shoppers trade in a vehicle before their next purchase. The positive trade-in experience in the mass markets creates a higher trade-in rating.
3. Transaction speed
This category is based on exceptional customer service and efficiency during a car purchase or lease experience.
4. Financing experience
44% of car shoppers get financing in person at the dealerships, according to a 2021 Cars.com survey. A positive financing experience is crucial for this to get rated high.
5. Review responsiveness
Only 40% of dealers respond to consumer reviews. 88% of consumers react positively to businesses that engage with reviewers, therefore the more a dealership participates in their reviews, the better ranking they receive.
6. Vehicle inquiry responsiveness
This category is equally important as review response and can significantly impact sales. A quick vehicle inquiry response is critical for securing a sale.
Now, people highly regard Mazda for its reputation and reliability. U.S. News & World Report named it the top SUV brand for 2024.
